December 2008 Prayer Diary.

  1. World Aids Day. Pray for the many millions living with HIV/AIDS. Pray that they will find help and support from Christian organisations.
  2. Ask God to make us aware of those less fortunate than ourselves, those who are aged, infirm, poverty-stricken etc.
  3. Pray for CMS as they train leaders to meet the needs of the rapidly growing church in Africa which needs skilled teachers of the Word.
  4. Remember our local schools. Pray for an increase in the numbers of those attending CU at the Secondary School each week.
  5. Pray for all aspects of community work; for the hospital and Health Centre, for the medical care and administration.
  6. Continue to pray for Kevin and Gill as they work in South Africa. Pray for safety, health and opportunities to talk about Jesus.
  7. Pray for those ministering God’s Word at T.B.C. and other churches in Tywyn  and in surrounding districts today.
  8. CARE are campaigning against abortion. Pray that they may have success in limiting legal requirements against the Human Embryology & Fertilisation Bill.
  9. Pray for the persecuted church. Many Christians suffer for their belief. Ask God to intervene where Muslims show intolerance against other faiths.
  10. NSPCC and similar organisations have been working to bring about an awareness of children at risk. Pray about this.
  11. Pray for Gideons and their wives as they continue to present God’s Word in the highways and byways of life.
  12. Pray that in all things Jesus will have pre-eminence (Ps 85:6) in our thoughts, words, actions and relationships.
  13. Let us ask God to guide all Christians in Parliament or in other positions of authority to seek His will for our nation.
  14. Pray for blessing on today’s services. May everyone involved be dependent on the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Pray especially for TBC’s Carol Service tonight.
  15. Thank God for the involvement of young people in our church. Pray that worldly temptations will be rejected.
  16. Pray for Bible translators. May it be that all may read God’s Word in their own language.
  17. Pray for outreach at Llys Cadfan. Give those leading wisdom and understanding. Pray for a response from those attending
  18. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed, perplexed but not driven to despair, persecuted but not forsaken, struck down but not destroyed. (1 Cor4:8-9) Pray for Open Doors.
  19. Pray for the Baptist Union and the North Western Baptist Association as they administer the many churches under their trust.
  20. Bring before God the work of the Evangelical Alliance as they work to change society for the better.
  21. Pray for the worship in T.B.C. today and for all services relevant to Christmas
  22. Let us remember those we know who are disabled. Lord help us to help them to make life so much easier.
  23. Pray for family life. May children be appreciative and not expect too much in times of hardship. Pray for unity and understanding.
  24. B.M.S. ask us to pray for wisdom for governments that are involved in trying to seek peace for problem areas.
  25. Rejoice, the Lord is King. Blessings in the name of Jesus. As  we celebrate the birth of Jesus, pray that many might come to know Him & accept Him as Saviour.
  26. Pray for those who have committed their lives to Christ, especially those baptised at T.B.C. this year.
  27. As we focus on Israel at this time of the year, “Let us bear with one another & forgive whatever grievances you may have” (Col 3:13) Pray for Christian Solidarity.
  28. Remember that Christ died to save sinners. Pray that amidst the Christmas celebrations we do not forget this important fact.
  29. Pray for the Leadership Team to seek the Lord for guidance and wisdom during 2009. May they be richly blessed.
  30. Give thanks for those who look after Tots & Toddlers, those who teach Junior Church and others who nurture the youngsters.
  31. Let us praise God and give thanks for all the good things we have received and observed in 2008. May 2009 also be a year of hope and opportunity.
