Our vision

Our vision as a church is “Connecting our communities to Christ through God’s love”. This is depicted in a picture that we believe God gave us  – a heart with a cross at the centre, with people of all ages and backgrounds walking to and from it.

God has led us to be a people who repeatedly join together as a family, spending time encouraging and supporting each other and coming to Jesus for replenishment, renewal and equipping. From here we go out to share what we have received with others.

Our Core Values

1.To be Christ Centred / Jesus first.

Our greatest passion is to know Jesus, to worship Him and to become more like Him. He is the hope of the world, our Saviour, the bringer of peace.   Luke 10: 38 – 42     Philippians 3: 7 – 11      2 Peter 1: 3 – 8

2.To be in it together – encouraging and equipping.

We are members of His family, loved, valued, and accepted. We love teamwork and believe in encouraging everyone to be involved, discovering our gifts together and learning to love and serve together. We are committed to building authentic and loving relationships. Life is often messy, and we don’t have all the answers, so we support and cheer each other on in the journey. We are committed to compassion, kindness, and humility.  Acts 2: 42 – 47      Ephesians 1: 5 – 8

3.Not just doing church but ‘being’ the church.

We gather to worship, pray, be transformed by His presence, open the bible, grow, serve and be family together. But then we want to be alert to what God is doing around us and be ready to join in. We are open to God using us to bring hope and healing into a broken world. We want to go out to our mission fields, our families and communities, our workplaces, and social spaces and live for Jesus every day. Our building is also a precious tool which we offer to God for His use to bring people closer to Him. Young and old are welcomed, loved, and served as we open up our building to be used to glorify God.    Romans 12      Ephesians 2: 10        1 Peter 2: 9

4.To share the good news in this generation.

We long to make disciples who make disciples. We are not looking to be a monument but a movement, not rule makers but good news sharers. We are not about being religious but about making Jesus known so that others can discover the adventure of the Christian faith which is a relationship with Him.   We long to see people get know Jesus, find hope in Him, be drawn to be part of His family, finding acceptance and community where others may have rejected them. We are committed to showing radical grace, mercy, justice, and generosity.
