South Gwynedd Foodbank

Since 2013 Tywyn Baptist Church has been privileged to support the South Gwynedd Foodbank (formerly Barmouth Foodbank) by helping to collect donations and to help deliver donations to the main Area Foodbank warehouse.

The South Gwynedd Foodbank helps individuals and families in quite a wide region. Some of the areas covered are: Tywyn, Barmouth, Dolgellau and Fairbourne. See the full list of areas served by the Foodbank here.

The Trussell Trust runs a network of over 400 foodbanks, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis across the UK, where thirteen million people live below the poverty line.

Get Help:
If you find yourself in the position of needing assistance from the local area foodbank please contact the Church Office on 01654 711752 and we’ll be glad to help.

Give Help:
The Foodbank always needs donations of particular foods. There is a box in the Baptist Church building for food deposits, and you can also donate at Advent Bookshop on Tywyn High Street, the Magic Lantern Cinema and at the Co-Op store too.

The Foodbank greatly appreciates financial gifts as sometimes it finds certain products are in short supply. Some contributors have set up regular monthly payments and details of how to donate financially can also be found at southgwynedd.foodbank.org.uk or by contacting our church office.
