Foodbank in Tywyn

Since 2013 Tywyn Baptist Church has been privileged to support the Area Foodbank by helping to collect donations and to help deliver donations to the main Area Foodbank warehouse.

The Area Foodbank helps individuals and families in quite a wide region. Some of the areas covered are: Barmouth, Dolgellau, Fairbourne and Tywyn. See the full list of areas served by the Foodbank here: barmouth.foodbank.org.uk.

The Trussell Trust runs a network of over 400 foodbanks, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis across the UK, where thirteen million people live below the poverty line. In the last year they gave 1,109,309 three day emergency food supplies to people in crisis.

Get Help:
If you find yourself in the position of needing assistance from the local area foodbank please contact Pete Cook or Myra Dods and we’ll be glad to help.

Give Help:
The Foodbank always needs donations of particular foods. There is a box in the Baptist Church building for food deposits, and you can also donate at Advent Bookshop on Tywyn High Street Cinema and at the Co-Op store too.

The Foodbank greatly appreciates financial gifts as sometimes it finds certain products are in short supply. Some contributors have set up regular monthly payments and details of how to donate financially can also be found at barmouth.foodbank.org.uk or by contacting our church office.
